The report on the Global Symposium on REDD+ in a Green Economy has been published and is now available both on UNORCID and on UNREDD websites.
Between the 19th and the 20th of June 2013, the event gathered participants from six continents, 24 countries, and 31 organisations. It aimed to provide key decision makers with a more informed basis for linking REDD+ planning and investments with green economy efforts and to reflect on lessons learned during pilot activities. The focus was set on the role of comprehensive land-use planning for capturing environmental, economic and social benefits from REDD+ investments. The Global Symposium on REDD+ in a Green Economy was co-hosted by the Government of Indonesia and the UN-REDD Programme in partnership with the United Nations Office for REDD+ Coordination in Indonesia (UNORCID), the World Agroforestry Centre, the Global Green Growth Institute and the Overseas Development Institute.
Presentations by panelists are available in the UNORCID document library and the background document is available here.
