REDD+ Indonesia Newsletter – December 2015

The December 2015 REDD+ Indonesia Newsletter includes a guest column by Mr. Douglas Broderick, Resident Coordinator of the UN in Indonesia, elaborating on the importance of the Sustinable Development Goals (SDGs) and their integration into Indonesia’s post-2015 development agenda. H.E. Mr. Edhy Prabowo, the Head of Commission IV of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR-RI) provides information about Indonesia’s environmental agenda and his views regarding the recent forest and peatland fires in the interview of the month. The UN and the Indonesian government sealed stronger commitments through a MoU for the Indonesia-UN Partnership for Development Framework (UNPDF) 2016-2020. The newsletter also includes information on COP21 – including key outcomes of the Paris Agreement at they relate to forestry, a Dialogue Series event on gender mainstreaming in REDD+, REDD+ Academy training session, and much more.
